Professional Bio
Bill Cohen is Teacher Librarian at North Sydney Girls High School. He originally created The Art of Game Design as a semester-long elective for the Authentic Learning program at Asquith Girls High School, which was a national finalist for the “Innovation in Curriculum Design” award at the 2019 Australian Education Awards. Bill has spoken at a range of state and national conferences on topics including information literacy, using picture books in secondary Geography classes, using games as texts in English and HSIE, and the role of the Teacher Librarian in supporting Stage 6 Science and Mathematics. He has also written about technology and education as a featured columnist for the ABC. Before retraining as a TL Bill worked as an HSIE teacher in selective and comprehensive high schools in both the public and private sectors.
