Anthony Galluzzo
Aboriginal Engagement Advisor - NSW DoE
Professional Bio
Anthony Galluzzo is a proud Wiradjuri man, inspired by his mother’s passion and strength around Aboriginal education, Anthony has been committed and dedicated to public education for close to 30 years, in positions in rural/regional NSW, metropolitan Sydney and in various non-teaching roles across the state, such as an Aboriginal Education and Wellbeing Advisor and in his current role as the K – 6 Advisor for the Aboriginal Outcomes and Partnerships Directorate since 2020.
Anthony will bring on the ground experience of working with HPGE Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students (across all the domains) with a particular focus on providing opportunities and experiences as well the delivery and design of quality curriculum for staff when supporting diverse learners.
Anthony is a strong advocate for ‘teaching to the fringes and not the middle’ and reminds us that the key to success or Aboriginal education excellence is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to be afforded opportunities in a cultural safe environment.
Anthony hopes to continue to be a voice for Aboriginal communities, students, staff, colleagues, and wider school communities.
